Preparation
Please be mindful of supporting the learner around safe physical distancing during this outdoor activity.
- Print or download Community Signs BINGO
- Display community signs vocabulary on the clipboard or on the learner’s communication device
Extension:
Reduce the number of Community Signs. Print/display another copy of the Community Signs BINGO and play by pointing, circling, or placing a marker on each sign.
Verbal Prompts
First, let’s look at all of the community signs. Show me which ones you already know.
Next, let’s take your communication device (or BINGO card) outside while we walk in the neighbourhood.
Then, stop when you see a sign.
Then, find it on your communication device (or BINGO card). Touch it (or circle it).
Then, continue on the walk and stop until you see the next sign. Touch it (or circle it).
